Middlesex Business Community
Middlesex Business Community is a non-profit making organisation set-up to provide a one-stop business solution to small and medium businesses in Greater London. We aim to provide business owners with a medium to share their ideas, experiences and seek advice from each other. Starting up a new business or running an established business can be a very daunting experience and most business owners find it very difficult to access assistance and information.
MBC is set up as a business support and community organisation and the group meets once a month on Tuesday evenings. Each member has an opportunity to network with other business owners and various professional advisors. Every meeting is a training opportunity for members attending, as guest speakers make a short presentation on various issues that affect the local business owners. A nominal fee of £17 is chargeable for attending to cover the costs for the monthly meetings.
The main objectives of this group will be to provide a complete package of business solutions to start-ups and growing businesses in Greater London area. The services will include:
- Advice on the structure and status of the business
- Business planning, financial planning and market research
- Legal advice and support for start-ups
- Setting up basic record keeping procedures
- Marketing & PR consultancy
- Personal development and coaching
- Accounting and Tax advice for businesses
- On-going training programs for business owners
- Seeking finance e.g. loans, over-drafts, grants, leasing, contract hires
- Assist members to increase their turnover by referrals and recommendations
